I believe that the philosopher of ancient Greece is right. Children in the first class can easily lose their unborn craving for knowledge if they are not interested. Studying is always about something difficult, long and tedious — that’s what children and ignoramuses think. But, of course, this is not true. Why is this opinion so popular In schools and kindergartens, sometimes people work who do not believe in the sanctity of knowledge themselves: because of this, kids quickly lose interest.

Personally, I am madly in love with knowledge and I believe that everything we learn is knowledge. Now I’m writing this essay and I’m getting smarter! I build new knowledge out of my thoughts. You can learn not only from textbooks, but also from memes, jokes, videos in TikTok. I listen to music and learn new words and phrases. I am reading a book, learning from the authors a new vision. In films, I study human facial expressions and the rules of their relationship. From anime I take out deep thoughts wrapped in a beautiful «wrapper». I learn by communicating with friends! Each of them is a textbook. Everyone has their own design rules, their own chapters with theorems. The world is the main knowledge that a person learns from the moment of his birth.

To confirm my point of view, I will turn to Griboyedov’s work «Woe from Wit». The main character Alexander Andreevich Chatsky is a clever man who has fallen into the society of fools. «In my comedy, there are twenty five fools for one smart person,» says the author. In the estates of Famusov, indeed, there are no people who gravitate to knowledge. Landlords, counts and countesses, serfs and servants are only interested in gossip. For them, learning is darkness. The mind makes a person crazy — that’s what they think. Of course, they are wrong, because Chatsky, on the part of the reader, towers over them in every sense. Alexander has his own opinion based on knowledge. The existence of his point of view is already the fruit of knowledge.

But are the Famusov society such fools? No. They have knowledge, it’s just a pity that their products have already expired.

In conclusion, I want to say that the main fruit of knowledge is progress. And it’s worth remembering that progress is always painful, but its aftertaste is sweet like honey.
